Our Methodology

Our Methodology is a continuous research mission to each of the key global maritime cargo hubs. In each hub GIL organizes Think Tanks of Thought Leaders from that Port Community who have been identified by their peer group as the key influencers in the shaping of the local logistics system.

Acting as a facilitator, the Institute organizes knowledge events that allow those think tanks to Connect with the GIL global network, allowing the Sharing of those ideas and best practices from throughout the network applicable locally, Learning from the local think tank its best practices to share globally and Benchmarking the local with global to create a Glocal Continuous Improvement cycle. The outcome is to "Improve Global Logistics One Port at a Time".
