Welcome - 欢迎

On behalf of our, Chairman Dr. Fu Yuning, and GIL CEO Mr. Kieran Ring, I would like to welcome you to the Institute's China Chapter page.

Since joining the WTO China's economic development has seen it emerge as the world's second largest economy. China's logistics industry has been growing rapidly, but there are still challenges within its logistics system. Cost of Logistics as a percentage of GDP in China is 18%, almost twice of that of the US, and about 50% higher compared to European economies.

We will proactively work with our members in China and aboard to promote logistics best practice and to encourage dialogue between interested parties with the aim of facilitating logistics and trade developments to a better and greener future.

                                         --Mr. William Yang-Lei 杨磊
