QUALITY SYSTEMS

The Institute has been monitoring the effect of implementing the CTQI (Container Terminal Quality Indicator) since its 2008 launch. It is not just a tool to demonstrate 'best in class', but also a continuous improvement tool which may be implemented at any terminal with or without CTQI certification. CTA in Hamburg, already one of the most efficient terminals globally, has seen enhancements in productivity and efficiency by implementing the CTQI.

We believe this benefit can be replicated elsewhere, such as Automotive Terminals and Port Logistics Quality. We refer to these programmes for continuous improvement as Quality Systems.
